Well I have to admit I’m quite glad to see the back of April! Not that it’s been a particularly horrid month, but it hasn’t been fantastic. I’ve kind of felt like April was a bit of a false start. I was poorly and I’ve struggled with feeling a bit down about things at times. I do have to say a big thank you to those that have emailed me offering kind words and support, that means so much to me! I am ok though, I am the kind of person that doesn’t tend to stay down for too long thankfully!
As I am not one for dwelling on the negatives, here’s some good things from this month!
I had some fun with pinboard projects at home and in my office.
I gave you some product reviews of a few products I’ve been using recently.
I did some shopping on a budget and updated my wardrobe!
My new vintage green dress!
I also feel that I’ve generally been pretty productive despite being ill, although I didn’t manage to complete all the things I wanted to this month, I’m getting there! I’ve been working on getting the Super Conscious Living stuff worked up into a programme and I’ve been able to keep on top of my workload and still have some time to relax. Speaking of the conscious living experiment, I’ve been implementing a lot of the things I’ve learned, and apart from a wobble when I felt poorly and over indulged in chocolate, I’ve been doing well. My energy and digestion have been so much better with the few tweaks I’ve made, such as having an afternoon snack and trying to make sure I eat my carbs.
Uniquely Healthy is just wonderful, I love health coaching and helping others! Some of the testimonials I’ve been getting in have been marvellous. I’m also excited to have a couple of community based projects in the pipeline for the summer.
I have mentioned a few times this month that I’ve been feeling a bit emotional and the situation with my amenorrhea has really been getting me down. I have been seeking some extra advice that has been very encouraging, and alongside some changes in my body, I feel like there’s light at the end of the tunnel!
We are off to Brighton this month and I can. not. wait. We are going for the Great Escape Festival as well as to see my lovely Aunt and Uncle and generally have some fun. I’ve visited Brighton several times before, it’s like a sunnier (hopefully) home away from home!
Goals for May
- Have a wonderful time in Brighton!
- Find more balance with my eating
- Do more yoga and walking
- Finish, or at least make a serious dent in the projects I started in April for my e book and e guide
- Keep up seed cycling
- Finish my Health Coach certification with IIN!
This month I really want to get a handle on my eating – I haven’t been eating poor food in general, just a little too much chocolate! I am going to enjoy my food in Brighton though, life is just too short sometimes and I love the grub down there – gelato, fish and chips and froyo here I come! I can easily dial it up when I get back. I am also going to make a real effort to do more yoga. I love it when I do it, I just need to carve out the time to make it a priority, likewise with walking. As I mentioned at the weekend, I have started seed cycling. I’m hoping that this will help with my hormonal balance and I’ve been talking to a few others where this approach has worked well for them. I think I said last month that I wanted to do a wordy update post so that is now massively over due, but consider it coming! Of course I also have some work to get finished off on some of the projects from last month too.
Other than Brighton, the biggie this month is completing my course with IIN! I can’t believe that 10 months and 40 modules later I’ll be completing my course. I’ve come so far in that time and I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved. I will definitely be celebrating my graduation!
