Well what a funny month March has been! If it wasn’t for the weather it would have been spot on, but I have to admit the dull days have really been getting to me at times. However I have kicked ass and completed pretty much all my goals for March. It has been a very busy month filled with some fun and exciting stuff…

I shared my photos and video with Gok Wan!

I went down to the Vitality Show!

I tried raw milk for the first time:

I posted recipes for Chicken and Cauliflower Rice Two Ways, Sweet Potato Chocolate Chip Almond Butter Chunk Bars and Sweet Potato and Coconut Breakfast Bake

I had some great nights out and a fun Easter weekend:

I also did my 21 day super conscious living experiment, sharing daily updates on the Uniquely Healthy Facebook page and filming some video diaries.

When I started the challenge it was something I came up with on rather a whim, but it has been potentially life changing for me. I’ll be doing another vlog and a full post here and on Uniquely Healthy with more details on what I did and what I’ve learned – which is a lot!

For me, April is going to be all about really getting down to business. Big changes have started at work which will eventually see me going down to part time hours in the summer. Part of me can’t wait, since October I’ve been working about 60 hours a week (usually a lot more!) while I’ve been studying, health coaching and blogging in addition to my job. I haven’t minded it so much as I love all of these things as well as my job, but is has been rather intense to say the least. At the same time it is scary that I will be relying on myself and my business to make ends meet. So with all of that in mind I need to keep on working hard and growing what I have already developed since I set up Uniquely Healthy Ltd back in August last year.

I also feel like doing the 21 day experiment has given me a good grounding to really get myself sorted when it comes to healthy living. I think I have a better idea of what I need to do to be healthy and feel at my best than ever before and I’m looking forward to moving forward with that.

Goals for April

  • Do more walking as the weather improves – a repeat goal from last month!
  • Work on implementing a few lifestyle changes as a result of the 21 day experiment
  • Plan my first Uniquely Healthy workshops and e guides
  • Create an e recipe book of some of my favourite KHGS recipes and some new ones – this is something I’ve wanted to do for ages :-)
  • Work on feeling good about my body again

I did mention earlier in the month that I’d struggled with some ‘fat’ thoughts. I’ve gained more weight with the hope of tackling my amenorrhea problem (I think another wordy post is in the pipeline) but I am passing the limit where I feel comfortable and even healthy. I genuinely love my curvier body, but this month I feel like I’ve gone past a certain point. There is no danger of me falling back into restrictive habits, very much the opposite and that is where I feel I need to get myself sorted. The experiment has been so helpful in highlighting some very positive things as well as some problematic thoughts and behaviours and that is going to be my starting point.

How was March for you? Do you have any goals for April?
