IIN FAQ’s

Hi there, thanks for your interest in becoming a health coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition!

As a graduate of the programme I get asked a lot of questions about my experiences which I’m more than happy to share. Please note that I am an IIN Ambassador which does mean I get a referral reward if someone I refer decides to sign up, however I take my role very seriously and as you’ll see I’m very honest about the course and whether or not it might be the right fit for you.

First of all I’d like to encourage you to watch the following videos I recording reviewing my experiences, the one at the end is the most up to date:

Hopefully watching those videos has answered some of your questions, however here are several more FAQ’s I hope you’ll find helpful:

How much does the course cost?

The full cost of the course is $5995 however this can be discounted by at least $1000 when using my name as a referral – see below for details of my special offer. It isn’t cheap, however I personally found it more than worthwhile, I wouldn’t be where I am today without doing the course.

Is it possible to really make a good living as a health coach?

The course gives you a lot of skills and information on how to make your business a success but ultimately it’s down to you to put it all into practice! I wholeheartedly believe it’s possible to create a thriving business as a health coach, I’m living proof of that! I work 4 days a week and my take home pay is 125% of what I was earning as a full time project manager. However it’s taken me several years to build up my business to this point.

Is the market saturated with health coaches?

In a word, no! There’s many people training as health coaches across the world as well as in the UK, however this is the beauty of the online world, your market is potentially the entire globe who’s connected to the internet!

Is the course recognised in the UK?

The IIN course has just become officially recognised by UK body Qualifi which means you can use the course as credits towards a University degree.

Will the course give me the skills to work with people around nutrition?

I don’t believe that on it’s own it will. The course is not a ‘nutritionist’ course, it teaches you to become a health coach – which is a mix of nutrition, primary food and coaching. If you’re looking to become a nutritionist I’d suggest you consider other options.

Are there any downsides to the course?

I believe that you get out of the course what you put in and what you make of it but there are certainly a few downsides. As a UK based coach the business workbook I got with the course wasn’t relevant to UK law governing business, the course generally talks about the health care systems in the US and uses some US language etc. However I didn’t find this a serious issue, more of an annoyance! Plus this is based on my experience of the course back in 2012, I believe the syllabus has been updated since then.

Special offer for health coaches using my referral

If you decide to go ahead and enrol in IIN using my name as a referral I offer you two 60 minute Skype mentoring sessions (worth over £400) to be booked whenever you like in your journey.

Other IIN students have found these sessions immensely helpful having scheduled them in whenever they feel like they need some focus and clarity moving forward.
