“I’m Not Techy” – The Belief Keeping Your Coaching Business Overwhelmed

Business, Latest

If you’ve ever caught yourself saying “I’m just not a techy person” or “I’m not a systems person,” I want you to know something first: I get it. I really do. If you’re a highly sensitive, heart-centred coach (and maybe a little bit spiritual too, no judgement, that’s very much me as well), tech and systems can feel completely alien. Like they exist outside your energy somehow. A bit much. A bit cold.

So if that’s you, you are not broken, and you are not alone.

But here’s the thing I want to gently challenge you on this week: that belief, the one that says “I’m not techy,” might be exactly what’s keeping your coaching business stuck in overwhelm.

Why your coaching business needs structure (even if you’re not “techy”)

Here’s how I like to think about tech and systems. Imagine you’re building a house. You need walls before the roof can go on. You need foundations before you can build anything at all. Systems and tech in your coaching business work the same way. They’re not the fluffy, creative, exciting part of your business, but they’re what everything else gets to stand on.

When you put these systems in place, you’re building the structure of your coaching business. And yes, that can feel like a stretch if it’s not your natural zone of genius. That’s exactly why support matters here, rather than trying to figure it all out alone with a YouTube tutorial and three browser tabs open.

The most important thing I want you to take from this is that you don’t need to bend yourself to fit a system. The system gets built around you. As someone who is highly sensitive and heart-led myself, I’ve tried forcing myself into tools and ways of working that didn’t fit, and it just didn’t work. What works is building something that flexes with how you actually think, work and create, and then learning how to tweak it as you grow (because over thirteen years of running my own coaching business, I can tell you, how you work will change).

Am I even at the stage where I need this?

Genuinely, no matter where you are in your coaching business, this is relevant to you.

Brand new coach? Great time to start, you’re building good habits from day one. Still finishing your coaching training? Even better, get ahead of the curve. Further along in your business? This might matter most of all, because chances are you’ve got even more living rent-free in your head right now.

One thing I always come back to when I’m deciding whether to invest my time, energy or money into something is this: it’s rarely going to benefit just the one area I think it will. Learning how to set up systems and tech in your coaching business is a skill you’ll carry into so many other parts of your life, not just this one launch or this one offer.

The cost of “I’ll do it later”

I know it’s tempting to think “this is a later problem.” And sometimes, genuinely, later is the right time for you. I’m not here to tell you that you must do everything right now.

But what I will say is that later always has a cost. Pushing things off keeps you in that overwhelm loop, the one where you’re constantly spinning your wheels, feeling like your results are a bit random, a bit out of your control. And if you’ve ever had one of those proper business wobbles where you just don’t feel great about yourself or your abilities as a coach, you’ll know exactly how unhelpful that place is to be in.

When you have a home for everything, a place where your strategy, your planning, your admin and your client systems all live outside of your brain, you start to feel like an active participant in your own results again. Not like you’re just hoping things work out.

Your Cosy Coaching Business Systems

This is exactly why I created Your Cosy Coaching Business Systems, my brand new programme where, together, over four weeks, we build the home for your coaching business. Everything from planning and strategy through to client onboarding, offboarding and admin systems, all set up in one place, all built around you.

We’ll also bring in some AI magic to assist and integrate all of it, in a way that feels genuinely aligned (not icky, not robotic, not losing your own magic in the process). I’ll be right there with you the whole way, live calls, a Facebook group, full support. This isn’t a self-study, figure-it-out-alone kind of programme.

The tools we use are simple and mostly free. You really don’t need anything fancy or expensive to make this work.
Doors close on Thursday the 24th of June, with the early bird price disappearing before then too, so if this is calling to you, now’s the time to take a look.

You don’t have to be techy to have a calm, organised coaching business

You just need a structure that’s been built with people like you in mind. Heart-led. Highly sensitive. Allergic to anything that feels icky or forced.

If any of this resonated, I’d love for you to check out Your Cosy Coaching Business Systems before doors close. And if you want to chat it through first, you can always pop me a message on Instagram.

Either way, I hope this gave you a bit of reassurance today. You don’t have to be a tech person to build the coaching business you actually want.
