If you’re someone who loves a good behind-the-scenes peek at what’s really going on in another coach’s business (and life), then you’re in the right place. I do these kinds of updates every six months or so, and I think they’re some of my favourite episodes to share.
Here is my last behind the scenes update
So here’s my mid-2026 check-in. Business stuff, life stuff, and everything in between.

How the business has been going
Let’s start with the honest bit. 2025 was a really amazing income year for me. This year has been a little bit slower so far, and I think there are lots of different reasons for that.
The industry is shifting. Lots of coaches have experienced a slowdown, and I’m not immune to that. But here’s the thing – after fourteen years of running a coaching business, I have a lot of self-trust. I’m not panicking. My income is still really good. It’s just not quite where it was last year, and that’s okay. I can see the reasons, and I know what to do about it.
I could be one of those coaches who pretends everything is perfect all the time, but that’s never been me. What I will say is that where I am getting results, they’re coming from the foundational things I teach about. The stuff that works for my clients’ businesses works for mine too.
What I’ve been up to in the business this year
Back in February, I ran a live workshop on energy management, which was a bit out of left field for me. I didn’t sell as many places as I’d have liked, but the people who did it found it absolutely amazing. And honestly, putting it together was really useful for me too. It’s now available inside Wholehearted Business®, and I think energy management is one of the most overlooked parts of running a coaching business.
Sometimes in business you’ve got to have that energy of playfulness and experimentation. Not everything needs to be a massive money-maker. Some things you do because they feel right, and you learn from them regardless.
In March, I launched Wholehearted Business® and had six new people join, which is a solid, typical number. To launch it, I ran a free three-day pop-up programme called Coaching Packages That Sell, and I delivered my core webinar which I absolutely love delivering. I’ve spent a lot of time creating that webinar and it’s really well structured.
On the back end of that free programme, I offered an upsell — a week of Voxer coaching for around £11 — and it sold really well. It was a lovely little experiment and a beautiful way to have real conversations with people, which I’m a big believer in. Not everyone who had those conversations became a client right away, but I trust that if someone is meant to work with me, they’ll come back at the right time.
I’ve also got a really lovely number of recurring clients in Wholehearted Business®, people who stay on because they value the support, the expertise, and the experience I bring. For a long time I used to think, “Does it mean I haven’t gotten them results if they want to keep working with me?” But that’s not it at all. They stay because the whole experience is valuable to them.
Around springtime, I promoted my Searchable Show Method and did some deep business masterminding with one of my business besties. We looked at the whole structure of my business, and there are some big shifts I need to make — simplifying what I offer, letting go of certain programmes, and putting more into Wholehearted Business®. I haven’t actioned all of it yet, but the clarity is there.
More recently, I’ve been promoting Cosy Business Systems, my new four-week live programme on building calm, AI-assisted business systems. That’s been really fun and I’ve had some great sign-ups.
On the AI front, I was very anti-AI for a really long time because honestly, everything it produced was rubbish. And then I got into Claude, and I know, I know everyone’s talking about Claude right now, but there’s a reason for that. It’s genuinely good and it’s helped me fine-tune so much in my business, from client support to background processes. That’s exactly what I’m teaching inside Cosy Business Systems.
I’ve also been running paid ads to my free Notion client portal template, which have been working well for list building. But I’ve paused those to rebuild the funnel properly, which is a summer project.

The life stuff
I always share a bit of the life stuff in these updates because honestly, life and business aren’t separate.
So the bigger picture: I’m still going through my divorce. It’s been a long process but it’s about to be finalised. My ex and I still get on really well, and only in the last couple of months has he been able to have the kids at his place, so that’s been a big shift.
I was in a relationship for about six months which unfortunately didn’t work out. And right around the same time that ended, my ex started having the kids on his weekends, which meant I suddenly had every other weekend completely free in my own house.
And I’ll be honest, there was a moment of “Oh shit, am I going to be really lonely?” But actually? It’s been amazing.
I have been on a mission to live my best possible life. I went to the cinema by myself for the first time ever (and now I’ve got an Odeon pass). I did a solo hike in the Lake District and climbed a mountain, which was an absolutely epic confidence boost. I went to this wild swimming paradise called Pool Bridge Farm in York with a friend. I’ve been making the most of midweek adventures because I get to decide when and where I work.
One of the things that’s really come through for me is just how incredible my friendships are. Both breakups reminded me how amazing the women in my life are, and I’m incredibly lucky to have them.
And my son Finley, who was diagnosed with epilepsy last year, is doing brilliantly. He’s over a year seizure-free now, and I am so incredibly grateful for that.
The big realisation
Here’s the thing I’ve really been sitting with lately. I can’t keep putting off my happiness until something specific happens. I can’t keep saying “when my business hits a certain number I’ll be happy” or “when I find my person I’ll be happy.” Because that’s not how it works.
I know this from experience. There are things in my life right now that I never thought I’d have. My children. My house. My business. And every time I got those things, the goalposts moved. So I’m learning to make choices right now that make me happy right now, instead of always striving for something outside of myself.
It’s not easy, especially for someone who’s very goal-oriented and highly sensitive. But it’s been a really powerful shift.
What’s coming next
Looking ahead, I’ve got summer to navigate as a mum of two school-aged children (logistical nightmare, but we love it). My eldest is moving from primary to secondary school, which is a huge transition.
Business-wise, I’ll be opening the doors to Wholehearted Business® again in September with a fresh launch. I’m building out a new funnel, there’ll be new things available, and if you’ve been thinking about working with me, there’s actually an option to join outside of launch in a specific way right now. Just get in touch.
I’m also sitting with something bigger and further down the line. I’m feeling a pull towards training as a counsellor or psychotherapist. It’s probably a 2027 thing, but the pull is there and I think the stuff I’ve been through personally has drawn me towards wanting to support people in a different way.
Ultimately, my work is for highly sensitive and heart-centred coaches who don’t resonate with the hustle-heavy, six-figure marketing approach. Coaches who want to build their businesses on sustainable methods that aren’t going to burn them out. That’s been me, and after fourteen years, I get to enjoy the life I’ve built around my business. If I can help a handful of people do the same, I’ll be very happy.
If you’re interested in working with me, get on the waitlist for Wholehearted Business®. And if you want to get started sooner, drop me a DM because there are options available right now, probably at the best rates you’ll get before things go up in September.
Thanks for being here. I really do appreciate it.
