Baked Apple with Ginger and Orange Recipe from Flora Pro.activ

Last week I was contacted by a team at Flora Pro.activ to see if I would like to join in their recipe challenge. I received the ingredients to make Baked Apples with Ginger and Orange, the recipe for which can be found here

I found the recipe really easy to follow and the results were delicious! This would be such a good recipe for over the Christmas holidays. Flora Pro.activ contains plant sterols which have been shown to reduce cholesterol. Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a bit of butter, but if cholesterol is a concern for you, then this is certainly a delicious way to eat some of that Flora Pro.activ!

This recipe would also work really well with some naturally sweetened sweet mince pie filling as the stuffing too, mmm!

Have you tried a baked apple recipe before?

Oooh yes, baked apples with crunchy nuts inside are great for this time of the year. Will have to add this to my Christmas baking list!

These look great. I havent made a baked apple in years. Can one use any apple or are some better than others to use?

I absolutely love baked apples! My Mum used to make them when we were younger, with golden syrup, rum, butter, sultanas – so good!
