How often do you find yourself putting things off?
‘When that party and that holiday are over with, then I’ll be able to focus on my health’
‘I’m feeling so stressed right now, I just don’t have time to think about healthy eating and doing any exercise’
‘Once I’ve done (insert X,Y, Z) then I’ll be happy and feeling better about myself’
Any of that sound familiar?
I know I’ve definitely fallen victim to that way of thinking in the past, waiting for the perfect time to start something. Then I realised that the perfect moment never comes. You have to make the perfect time happen, and just do it!
As one Feeling Fab lady said:
‘I’ve learned that the right time to do anything is now. Life happens and they’ll never be a time when there are no stresses, birthday’s, nights out, holidays and everything being just perfect. I’ve just got to do it, and only I can do it.’

I definitely think that putting things off until the perfect situation is routed in the diet mentality way of thinking. When you can embrace healthy living in an ongoing, sustainable and ultimately, a liveable approach, then you can really ditch the diet cycle.
Do you ever feel like you are putting things off until the right time?
I always used to be that person, but there really is never the right time. I started losing weight whilst I was in the final year of my degree, also working 30 hours a week and planning my wedding. Most people would have put it off until after all those things, but my mentality was that if I could could cope through all of that, I could cope through anything!
That’s amazing, I think it shows you can do anything when you put your mind to it :-)
I think so many people have the “start on Monday” attitude, whereas really little changes work so much better and are more sustainable than an all or nothing approach.
Totally agree, I found that attitude so destructive for me in the past, binge city on a Sunday evening!
I used to but these days I find there is no time like the present! I have a lot of clients that give excuse but it’s simple I just say you either want it or you don’t excuse’s don’t make you lose weight and feel better about yourself exercise an a good diet does!
I completely agree, life is too short!
