Manifestation has been a big thing in the spiritual and personal development world for a long time, but has now even broken into the mainstream too. We’re all interested in how we can bring about changes in our lives so we can attract more of what we want.
In the coaching industry where many of us – me included – are a bit woo, we’re actively using manifestation to make our businesses more successful. In this blog post I’m going to share more on what this looks like for me personally and the processes and tools I use to manifest my results.

What is manifesting?
There’s a lot of different definitions floating around on what manifestation actually is, but for me it is an experience of aligning thoughts, feelings and actions in order to attract more of what you want into your lived experience or reality.
Whether it’s more clients, more income, a better work / life balance – manifesting is another way you can approach bringing these things into being in your business.
I have learned about manifestation from a variety of different sources. My favourites are To Be Magnetic of which I’m a current member (this has been totally life changing for me – this is my affiliate link if you wanted to join too!) and also The Manifestation Collective run by Victoria Jackson who I’ve interviewed for the show here. There’s also books like The Secret and lots of content online from Abraham Hicks. I also love what Gala Darling and Dr Tara Swart has shared on manifestation too
Before I get into the rest of this post I just want to make a quick note about privilege. I’m a white, hetrosexual woman living in a country that generally has good safety nets in terms of health and financial outcomes. Talking about manifestation without acknowledging this is, I feel, completely irresponsible. So just bear in mind that we all have hugely varying circumstances and starting points, and while manifesting can feel really empowering, it doesn’t exist in a vacuum where societal and political issues don’t exist.
What has my experience of manifesting looked like?
Inside TBM we’re encouraged to cast a manifestation list of mini and major manifestations. Over the past year I’ve manifested things like discounted microblading, the perfect dress for a specific occasion, Hoka running trainers at my ideal price and on the larger side, 12 months of cashflow in my business and a feeling of financial safety which was my big manifestation goal when I joined TBM.
What does the process look like?
Getting clear on what you want and how you want to feel
The first step for me is always getting really clear on what it is you want, and how you want to feel when you get it. It’s also helpful to identify if the thing you want aligns with your authentic self and your core values.
I don’t always write a list, but usually each mini season there’s 1-3 things I’m focusing on attracting into my life and business.
I also love to create vision boards using Pinterest and Canva. I’m a very visual person so this helps me really connect with what I’m working on manifesting.
Doing the work to raise your self worth and unpack sub conscious beliefs
Inside TBM, the core approach to manifestation is to raise your self worth. This was revolutionary for me as someone who has struggled with self worth in different areas of my life. There’s various different ways you can do this, but unpacking your sub conscious beliefs is one area. This is based on us all having picked up patterns and blocks in childhood that take us away from our whole, worthy and authentic selves.
Working on this for me has looked like a lot of journaling, using the TBM Deep Imaginings and recognising triggers as areas of my life and business to get curious about rather than avoid. It has also looked like ‘acting as if’ I do in fact have high self worth. This is simply making decisions and taking action as if I’m someone who has high self worth.
High self worth is not the same as arrogance or over confidence, rather it’s a deep knowing of who you are and what is acceptable to you. It heavily connects with having suitable boundaries too and not settling in places you have previously settled.
Support your ability to ‘hold and receive’ the manifestation
Another part of my own manifestation process has been understanding how we need to be capable of holding the energy of the manifestation when it occurs. If we can’t handle it, it won’t manifest, or it will, and then we’ll lose it. This is definitely connected to the above point on raising your self worth, but I feel like there’s a slightly different energetic component to this.
For example, being ready to hold a large income might mean having really good practical money management skills in place so you can safely handle that money. Being ready to manage a larger number of clients might mean your nervous system needs to feel good supporting that number of people at the particular depth you work with people in.
Taking aligned action
The next step is then taking action – it’s not all about creating vision boards and then sitting waiting for everything to fall into place. The key is taking aligned action – and a lot of that comes down to acting on ‘Pings’ which are basically intuitive hits that you should do a certain thing or go to a certain place. As well as listening to your intuition and listening to those pings, I’m also a believer in being strategic about it as well, if you’re seeking to manifest 3 new clients, it makes sense to focus on your marketing and sales for instance!
Being detached from the outcome
This is such a hard one to practice, but becoming detached as much as possible from the outcome has really helped me bring a lot of good things into my life. When I’m sitting in an energy of desperation or longing for something, it never feels good. But when I can tune into the desire, but trust that whatever is meant to happen will happen, that’s when the magic occurs!
Being prepared to listen to your intuition and ‘jump off a cliff’
Finally, one of the hardest but most rewarding things I’ve personally done in my life and business connected to manifesting is being prepared to ‘jump off a cliff’. This is where you take huge, often scary action where you need to trust in something bigger than yourself.
This might be quitting your day job or shifting your niche in a big way. It always makes sense to try and be as resourced as possible before doing this, but even then it’s likely to feel like a big scary jump into the unknown.
When I have done this I find that it creates this kind of magnetism and so many things come through not long after jumping off a cliff. Usually the thing I have to do is something I’ve intuitively known I need to do for a while, but I’ve just ignored the calling because it’s felt scary!
When I put these things together, I’ve noticed I get much better results in all areas of my life and business. I also just generally feel more content and alive. It feels like you’re in a dance with the Universe rather than in battle with everything.
I still have some significant things I’m working on manifesting, so watch this space for more!
