It’s that time of year again, as 2025 comes to a close I’m sharing what I’ve been up to behind the scenes, my income numbers and other metrics and a few personal updates too.
I’ve been sharing these annual behind the scenes posts for a long, long time: ( 2011 / 2012 / 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 (not sure where this post has gone!) / 2018 / 2019 / 2020 / 2021/ 2022 / 2023 / 2024)
I love that I can look back over these years and read in my own words what I’ve had going on and see my own journey so clearly
I also shared a mid 2025 year update here.
But now on to the whole of 2025!

2025 Review and Income Breakdown
2025 has been such a wonderful year for me, I feel like this has probably been one of the best years I’ve ever had in business which is even better given that I’ve had some personal stuff to deal with alongside it – more on that in a moment.
This time last year I did my own planning workshop and set some specific goals which I’ve been reviewing. I was hoping to hit between £65K and £70K in income which I have achieved, and I also wanted to pay myself a specific amount each month which I have also achieved. I wanted to hit 1000 subscribers on YouTube which I have also done.
Some goals that I didn’t hit included reaching 7000 subscribers on my email list (I have just under 4000) and 10,000 podcast downloads – I hit 7900. Even though I didn’t hit these specific goals I’m still really happy with the progress I made towards them.
The key things I’ve sold and delivered in the business this year have been my 1:1 Coaching and Mentoring, Wholehearted Business®, The Searchable Show Method and then a bunch of my other courses and programs. I also worked with a couple of design clients on website and brand work, and some bespoke coaching and mentoring offers too.
This is what my income breakdown looked like as of the middle of December:
- 1:1 Coaching and Mentoring – £24,000* / $33,000 – I totally messed up this number in the video and podcast as I didn’t add it up correctly!
- 1:1 bespoke offers / design work – £7000 / $9500
- 1:1 Coaching / contract / bespoke offers – £11,000 / $14,700
- Wholehearted Business® – £19,500 / $26,000
- Clarity Calls – £700 / $950
- Courses and Programmes – £5000 / $6500
- Affiliate – £100 / $150
Total Income in 2025 – £67,000 / $89,500
My expenses were about £20K / $26,000 including around £7K / $9500 in tax (taxes based mostly on last financial year)
I’ve heard that some people in the online business space have found 2025 to be a challenging year. That hasn’t been my experience and I have wondered if there’s anything specific that I would put that down to in terms of the strategies I’ve implemented. I do feel that having a way of showing up really consistently via The Wholehearted Business Show has been a huge help, alongside the majority of my offers being fairly high touch and offering very personalised support. My inkling is that the more self study / passive course option (not including low ticket offers as they still seem to be selling really well) is where people have struggled more.
Either way, I feel very grateful to be ending 2025 with such a wonderful business!

Lessons learned
Trying to do too much
I know that I still tend to try and bite off more than I can chew for the phase of life that I’m in. There were a few things that fell off the end of my to-do list so some goals weren’t achieved simply because I don’t have capacity for everything that I wish I could do, especially as a Mother to two kids.
Boundaries starting to slide
I noticed that towards the end of the year, my boundaries were starting to slip, and my day to day life was feeling less organised and intentional. I used to always have Fridays off and that’s happening less and less so I need to look at how I’m managing things. I also would like to put better systems in place, especially around supporting my clients as that’s always my highest priority, so when I know that is being done well, it does free up more time and headspace for me.
Social Media
I had hoped to start using social media, especially Instagram and Substack this year but these were both things that very much ended up sliding off the to-do list as I just couldn’t prioritise them. I’m glad that my business is not built around a need for social media, but I do enjoy using Instagram stories especially so I would like to re-look at this in 2026.
Getting over impostor syndrome
A lesson I learned this year really came up for me when I ran my collaborative event Search & Connect and still felt a lot of impostor syndrome, even though I had thought I’d moved past that a lot. It really kicked in when working alongside other people in the online business space and I need to really address that because I know it’s still holding me back.
Life Updates
As mentioned in my half way BTS post, I’ve had two particularly challenging personal situations to work through in 2025. Firstly separating from my husband – the separation of which actually happened in 2024, but he didn’t move out until this year. And then secondly my son Finley being diagnosed with epilepsy.
Those two situations just made the first part of 2025 incredibly personally difficult, however those situations improved. My husband moved out and we have a good relationship now around the children where we do the ‘nesting’ thing and he spends time with them in our home. My son is now medicated for his epilepsy and after an initial medication not being the right fit, we’ve found something that seems to be working and doesn’t have any side effects.
Other than those things it’s been a great year. My word for 2025 was Adventure, and I feel like I’ve lived that! Over the summer I did so much paddle boarding and wild swimming, I went glamping and I just showed up for my life and had a great time.
I’ve now started dating which has been a very interesting but mostly positive experience so far!
2026 Plans
So this is a new thing for me but I’m actually going into 2026 not feeling like I need to completely make over and change my entire life!
One of the biggest things I’m taking into 2026 is around how I can allow myself to sit in the discomfort of not actually knowing how things are going to turn out. My default setting is wanting to control and manage everything so that I feel safe. But not everything in life is going to feel safe – my experiences with dating have really brought this up because we can’t control other people and what they think, feel and how they behave. I’ve also noticed how much this need I have to manage situations so I feel safe, has created problems for me in the past too.
So building the resilience to be able to manage the discomfort that comes with not being able to be in control is the lesson that I need to step into in 2026. In the words of Brene Brown, I want to be brave with my life and to be able to do that I need to work on this area which also very much comes into business too.
Then in terms of other key things I’d like to focus on in 2026, business wise I’d like to create more low ticket offers, continue to play around with paid ads to support my audience growth, I’d like to try running more live webinars and trainings alongside keeping the overall structure I have in my business now that’s working.
Specific goals include actually hitting that £70K income target, I’d love to grow my email list to 5000, hit 2500 subscribers on YouTube and 10,000 downloads on the podcast. Then personally I’d just love to do more of what I love – paddle boarding, wild swimming, hiking and I’d also like to get my passport sorted so I can travel abroad too!
My word for the year is Flow – and I feel like this nicely encapsulates the energy I need to embody this year. Even now, I’ve been asking myself, ‘am I forcing or am I flowing?’ and I think that is helping with lessening the ways in which I need to control things.
