I’ve been so excited about sharing these smoothie recipes! As I said a few days ago, I was delighted when Alpro asked me to create some smoothie recipes using my favourite Alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk. I had so much fun coming up with these concoctions and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did! All recipes serve 1-2.
I love the layered effect I created with this Blueberry Cheesecake smoothie. Here’s how you make it:
Blueberry layer:
- 1 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1/2 pot of cottage cheese
- 1 – 2 cups of almond milk – enough to create a thick consistency
Banana layer:
- 1 banana
- 1/2 pot of cottage cheese
- 1 – 2 cups of almond milk
Blend the blueberry layer first and pour into glasses. Wash out the blender and make the banana layer then gently pour that on top. Enjoy!
Don’t let the idea of beetroot put you off! Beetroots are a super food packed with fibre and antioxidants. When blended with cherries they add a sweet earthiness. Here’s how you make it:
- 1 cup of frozen cherries
- 1 – 2 cooked beetroots (use the vacuum packed ones or beets you have cooked yourself)
- 1-2 cups of almond milk
Blend it all together and drink up the antioxidants! If you want to give this a naughty twist add some cocoa powder for chocolate flavour!
It wouldn’t be Keeping Healthy Getting Stylish without some green smoothie action! This Fresh n Smooth version is refreshing and nourishing. The addition of avocado gives it a good portion of healthy fats too.
- 1 handful of kale
- 1 pear
- 1 apple
- 1/2 avocado
- 1-2 cups of almond milk
Blend and enjoy the plant powered goodness!
This is probably my favourite recipe, the combination of ingredients have such a delicious result!
- 1 mango
- 1/4 can of coconut milk
- 1 lime
- 1 – 2 cups of almond milk
Take the skin off the mango and remove the flesh from the stone. Add to the blender with the coconut milk and almond milk. Cut the lime in half and squeeze in the juice from one half reserving the other half. Blend and taste, add more lime juice for extra zing. Enjoy while picturing yourself on a beach in the Caribbean!
This smoothie is decadent and delicious!
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- pinch of salt
- 1-2 cups of almond milk
Blend everything until smooth, drink with lots of mmmmmm sounds!
I couldn’t resist adding another green smoothie to the collection. This one is very refreshing and zingy from the inclusion of ginger. The green grapes make this super hydrating too.
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 cup of green grapes
- small piece of fresh ginger, try a thumb nail sized amount
- 1-2 cups of almond milk
Blend and serve. Drink and feel super healthy and hydrated!
If you’ve never tried a green smoothie please don’t be afraid, you won’t taste the greens in these I promise!
Which of these recipes sounds good to you? Have you tried a green smoothie yet?
These look so colourful and vibrant, yum!
the blueberry cheesecake one looks amazing!
These all sound good to me! Nice work Laura! Fresh ‘n’ Smooth Green and Cherry Beetroot sound especially tasty.
Salted chocolate one sounds so good! The smoothies look so pretty and vibrant. Such a great range of flavours.
You’re a smoothie wizard!
That yellow one looks lovely – well they all do (even the beetroot one, I really am not a fan of beetroot but it always looks so good!). I wish I could get kale/greens to whizz up in my blender, I would just end up having to chew it!
Nice to have a change from the usual banana/spinach/almond milk/peanut butter type affair so I will have to try some of these!
Thanks Rachel! You can’t massively taste the beetroot in that one, especially if you add cocoa!
The zinger for me thank you!!
These all look amazing – I really need to get back into using my blender! x
Oh wow, I want the salted chocolate and almond butter one now!! The day (in about 5 months time) when I am finally reunited with my blender will be a very happy one indeed :) beautiful pictures Laura xxx
OMG I would miss my blender so much!
These look and sound so nice – I love blackberries! Yum yum yum
No idea why, but I cannot imagine grapes in a smoothie! Even though I like them.
Love the sound of the one with coconut milk in there.
I do quite like a green smoothie in the summer, but not at this time of year as I like to use frozen fruit so they go all thick- it is far too cold for that!
Green smoothies rock my world. I love all your different combinations here!
