Creating a Profitable Coaching Business in 2025 – Themes and Trends

Business

Happy New Year! As we enter 2025, as health and life coaches it’s good practice to look at what key shifts and trends might meet us in this coming year.

If you’re anything like me, you want to grow a coaching business that is both fun and profitable – without being attached to specific income numbers that you don’t fully connect with.

In this blog post I’m going to share five things I believe will become key trends and themes in 2025 that you can use to help you grow a more successful business that meets your own version of success.

Business Models

The first major trend to keep an eye on in 2025 is gaining a better understanding of your business model. In the past couple of years, particularly from 2023 onwards, there’s been a surge in low-ticket offers. While they have their benefits, integrating them effectively in your business model – i.e. making them profitable – has proved to be rather tricky!

Most coaches don’t really look at their businesses from a business model perspective which means they can trip up when trying to implement some of these other trends in offer types.

Understanding my Business Model was one of my biggest takeaways from last year and that’s been reflected in what I’ve seen and heard by many other coaches too.

To help you understand what a Business Model is for your coaching business I’ve created a new free class which includes a 15 minute video training and a full business plan for coaches template which you can use to get clear on six key areas of your business. Access it for free below!

    Money shifts

Next up, I believe that in 2025, there’s going to be a continuing shift away from the fixation on making exorbitant amounts of money in coaching businesses.

There’s rising awareness that the promise of skyrocketing income is often not the reality for most coaches. Instead, the focus is moving back to sustainable, cosy coaching businesses that provide good income and fulfilment. It’s about balancing financial goals with lifestyle and impact.

Alongside this is more focus on themes such as community, impact and ethics.

    One to One Connection

In the aftermath of Covid and now the uprising of AI, I feel like one to one connection will grow as a trend this year.

Coaches have a wonderful opportunity to cut through the sheer volume of information and offer individualised and customised advice and support, as well as help to actually take action.

While it’s always going to be an ongoing thing for coaches who scale to move out of 1:1 work, I believe that there’s a true ongoing need for people to access 1:1 support, and the challenge for coaches is to think creatively about how they can offer this sustainably in their businesses, possibly outside of just their main 1:1 coaching offers.

For example, 1:1 individualised support is a cornerstone of Wholehearted Business, my 12 month program for health and life coaches which is also run in a group setting.

    Creative Mini Offers

Mini offers have been a trend for a number of years now, however I don’t see this slowing down in 2025 – as long as coaches ensure these offers make sense for their business models – see above!

Mini offers can help people cut through the overload of information and take specific action around a specific area. While they’ve been popular in the B2B space I think they’ll cut through even further to the B2C space this year.

There’s many ways you can create and deliver a mini offer and many ways they can strategically benefit your business. Check out my program Super Simple Passive Income to learn how to create your own mini offer.

    Be More You

Again, while this has always been relevant, I feel that in 2025 the time really has come where it’s just not possible to hide in your coaching business or be ‘vanilla’.

In today’s crowded market, being visible, authentic and genuine can set you apart. Rather than trying to ‘stand out’ think about how you can ‘call in’ the right fit people. It’s time to infuse your personality into your business in a way that feels comfortable for you. This doesn’t mean over-sharing, but rather letting your audience see what you stand for. A simple way to do this is incorporating more audio or video content into your marketing strategy if you’re not already doing so.

Simple questions to ask yourself here are:

    • What really lights you up about the work you do as a coach?
    • Why did you decide to become a coach?
    • What does ‘walking your talk’ look like in your own life?

Creating content around these themes can help share a bit more of what makes you, you – without having to over-share or be super vulnerable.

    Next steps

I hope these ideas have given you some food for thought going into 2025! Don’t forget to check out the Profitable Business Models Training above so you can ensure your coaching business has a profitable business model going into the New Year.

How much 1:1 coaching do you offer in your business? How much time does it take?

At a certain point, 1:1 support can be hard to deliver sustainably - depending on your niche, business model and price point of course!

But what I’m seeing more need for is that individualised support which actually helps people take action that’s right for them. So how can we offer that in a way that isn’t just 1:1 video or in person calls?

⚡️ voice and text note support

⚡️ individualised video feedback (I use Loom for this)

What does individualised support look like in your health or life coaching business?

I’ve been making some predictions for 2025 🔮

One of the things I think will continue to be a big trend for health and life coaches are ‘mini offers’

These smaller, generally low ticket offers are straight to the point and can help your customers or clients take action around a really specific topic.

Do you have a mini offer in your health or life coaching business?
