Another great trip to Brighton!

Brightonlaines

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend. It’s quite nice to be sitting in front of the computer blogging again, I’ve really enjoyed sorting through all my photos from our trip to Brighton last week! We had a brilliant time as always, Brighton is such a great place to visit. I think I best let the pictures do the talking!

Me being daft trying on hats in Snoopers Paradise, I think I quite suited it!

When we visit Brighton, or go on any holiday really, we love going for coffee as often as possible. That was a delicious hot chocolate at Cafe Coho, we also managed to make the rounds of a lot of other coffee shops!

It was pretty cold most days so we used the excuse of needing to warm up! I was determined to try a Starbucks chocolate orange mocha, also a flat white from Small Batch Coffee Company, a matcha green tea latte and a praline latte (with some much needed fruit) from Nero. Of course I couldn’t resist a sweet treat with my coffee:

A chocolate twist, the most amazing brownie from Marwood and a fabulous banana and peanut butter danish. Heaven! Marwood is a great coffee shop, James and I got our geek on when we saw Boba Fett creeping up behind us:

James is still rocking his Movember tashe!

More treats included a hot chocolate made with Nutella and peanut butter cups (it tasted just as amazing as it sounds!), a small froyo with caramel sauce and honeycomb and some pick and mix sweeties for enjoying while we watched Thor 2:

It wasn’t all sugary stuff, I did have some more solid meals including a burrito from Bang Bang Burrito and a mixed lunch box from Iydea:

I’ve been loving burritos since I tried one in Berlin. We noticed a few burrito bars opening up so they must be the ‘in’ thing right now!

I also had a couple of lovely Italian meals. This was from Fat Leo towards the end of our holiday – I was starting to seriously crave veggies so had some vegetable soup before the scrumptious pizza with ricotta cheese and veggies.

Fresh juices and smoothies were certainly needed to balance all that ‘less healthy for my body but damn good for my soul’ foods. I had a ‘detox’ juice from Foodlilic and those Naked smoothies were handy for some green goodness on the go.

As I mentioned, the weather was a bit cold at times, so I enjoyed getting wrapped up warm:

We loved to walk through the park on the way into town:

I used to feed the squirrels in St Ann’s Well Gardens when I was little. We did the walk from my aunt and uncles house in Hove to Brighton and back at least twice a day. I wore my Fitbit and we were walking over 9 miles most days – not bad exercise at all!

One of the highlights of the trip was meeting up with the gorgeous Christina and Lucie!

I’ve met Christina a few times before, and it was so wonderful to meet Lucie finally after knowing each other on line for ages. Check out Lucie’s amazing photography. That girl has some skills! Unfortunately diaries clashed for arranging a meet up with my other blogger besties Tamzin and Lara, next time for sure!

In the middle of the week we took the train up to London for the day:

I loved the Christmas decorations on Carnaby Street! We met up with my cousin Bea who is a student up in London, then had a walk around Spitalfields, Shoreditch and Brick Lane area before heading back. I always love a trip to London and a stop off at Whole Foods of course!

Another fun thing we did was use the photo booth at Snoopers for some pics:

I loved the ones we got in Berlin, so we couldn’t resist. Makes for some good memories!

So that was our trip! I did a fair bit of shopping as well and found some lovely things – post to come soon!

Have you been to Brighton yet? What is your favourite treat hot drink?

What a fab time :) I agree Brighton is a great place to visit- so many little shops and cafes, and also so great to walk along the seafront and get some proper fresh air.
I love a chai latte, and also a peppermint hot chocolate :)

What an awesome trip and I am drooling over all of the delicious treats (is it WIAW already?)! Also how great is it that you got the opportunity to meet these awesome girls. Sometimes it seems impossible to meet bloggers and other times the world is just so small.

I know what you mean. Might be something cooking here in the uk for healthy living bloggers if you would be able to travel?

I really need to visit Brighton! Can’t believe I still haven’t been-especially as it’s the UK’s vegan capital it seems :D
Sounds like you had a great time and how nice to squeeze in some blogger meetups.

Oh blimey where do I start! Hit the north Laines first and foremost – wai ki a moo cow, iydea and infinity foods cafe are all worth a visit as is infinity foods itself. There’s also a juice and smoothie bar in the last street of the Laines I just can’t remember the name. Foodlilic has some good options and I live their fresh juices, there’s also a new juice bar opened in the lanes near donatatellos restaurant. Hope that helps! You’ll have a great time. Oh and for evening eating food for friends and terre a terre are all veggie restaurants xx

Ahh looks like such a lovely trip! Lots of tasty treats. I can’t go to the cinema without getting pick ‘n’ mix. It’s my absolute weakness. I love it.
Your fro yo and honeycomb also looks AMAZING. I love honeycomb. And honeycomb covered in chocolate is addictive…
